Press Operator

E-Cast Press Operator – Pay Rate $12.00 per hour depending on experience

1st shift-6am-2pm

2nd shift-2pm-10pm

3rd shift- 10pm-6am

Job Summary:

-Wear personal protective equipment as required.
-operate mixing apparatus to combine compound
-Operate hydraulic presses and tools to cure a wide variety of elastacast parts.
-trim and inspect product
-measure product dimensions
-fill out production sheets and travelers.
-Navigate through software and enter data on a PC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform all necessary functions for the proper setups and operations as shown on specification sheets. Mix, pour and cure the proper compound as described in the curing work instructions. Fill out production sheets; move tickets and any to her related paperwork that may be required. Produce test material samples which are representative of daily manufactured production parts. maintain work area and keep equipment clean and orderly. Understand and maintain all safety requirements within the department and Company. Report any unusual conditions to supervisor and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Physical Demand:

Moderate physical effort continuously (over 70% of the time) lifting between 5lbs. and 30 lbs. Occasional (15% to 40% of the time) lifting of material 25lbs to 60lbs., rarely, (up to 15% of the time) lifting or pushing material over 60lbs.

Education:

Requires the use of grammar and arithmetic such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. This includes the use of decimals, fractions, simple use of formulas, charts, tables and specifications and the use of adjustable measuring instruments requiring interpretation. Must check reports, forms, records and data.
